Subsequently, I thought I would give those ‘healthy’ supermarket ready meals a go. Filled with anticipation; I ended up trying just about every company on offer, but was often left feeling underwhelmed by uninspired flavours, poor value for money and questionable nutritional value.
This made me think… surely there must be a better alternative?
I started off cooking around 200 meals a week from my one-bedroom flat, hand delivering them around the Cotswold area, naming myself Macro Meals. At this point I had no idea whether it would make a viable business model or not, I was purely doing it out of enjoyment! But It didn’t take long before I gave up my full-time job in order to pursue it further.
Fast forward to today and we have our very own bespoke kitchen facility in the Cotswolds with experienced chefs supported by passionate staff. Together, they prepare the highest quality meals using fresh local produce, tailoring each one especially for you.
I aim to reflect my own personal values, which I hope to resonate with you, into everything Macro Meals does. These are:

Very tasty food, as previously stated you can tell the chefs take a lot of pride in there work and feels great eating clean tasty food. The reason am not giving it 5 stars is... the portion sizes. Have heard previous people say its fine but for a fully grown active man the size of the meals will not fill you up for an evening meal! Think should he an option to order meals at a larger size at a small premium if needs be. Found myself having 2 evening meals from the range due to this. Which of course makes it pricey but that is the price you pay for food prep companies these days. Will continue to use the service as is very convenient for people who work shifts especially to consume healthy food to help with muscle growth etc or whatever your goals are but the portions should definitely be bigger!read more

I was shocked to see how few companies in the UK delivered healthy, balanced food with simple, cooked and ready to go ingredients. My mother is 72yrs old and we used to us... Meals of Wheels. Whilst they do an amazing job under the circumstances, the food is very below par. So we moved to using Macro Meals and my elderly mother gets the nutrition she needs, this is absolutely critical for people in old age for well being, body and mind. Also simple things for the elderly such as 1 cooked prepared meal on 1 carton and easy microwave is critical for elderly people, many whom get very confused easily, especially when they have dementia. I was also surprised to see that my mother loved the cookie and also the chocolate Protein bars, which is excellent news as they give her way more bulk and value than her usual sugary Dairy Milk! Simple, healthy, easy to use and delivery was also good as I got a message in the morning to state the time (between 1 and 2pm) the meal would be delivered. Simple is best, esp with the elderly. Very good service. Hopefully , the quality won't change with time. I have ordered two meals a day for a week.Pros:1. They deliver everywhere in the UK it seems via DPD2.... Good packaging, whole meal including vegetables in one container3. Amount of carbs and protein "look" sufficient to target. Not exactly what i had in mind but i am usually willing to test carbs intake as long as i'm not feeling hungry or tired. It will take some time to test how useful this is and i will come back once i conclude somethingCons:1. Container is not marked as microwave suitable (nor microwave not suitable to be honest). This should be elaboratedOverall , i think this could be useful for busy people who struggle with cooking healthy carbs and vegetables especially. Having a clearly marked microwave safe container is highly recommended here without an unreasonable increase in the price so the meals can just be taken to work with no extra effort. This will then be a good propaganda to the company as the marked packaging will be available in the company's refrigerator in front of all colleagues.read more

Just got my first order of meals and they are fantastic. Really tasty, good size portions and great value for money. Love the Cajun rice! Furthermore the customer service... from the team is first class - we had a minor issue with my delivery but the team at Macromeals got onto it and sorted it straightaway. Highly recommend.read more

I've been using Marco Meals for nearly a year now and with their help I'm now in the best shape of my life. I'm a terrible cook and doing food prep with the time I have in a... day is impossible, I have used other food prep services before but these guys are a cut above the rest in every way. I'm a lazy cook, and so most of the time my eats habits reflect convenience rather than substance. All the protein selections are great ans taste good unlike other dry and bland fresh made ready meals on the market.
Turned up... on time in a foil packed box which i used to transport the meals to work.
Packages are great and dont melt in the mic.
I even froze two meals to see if that effevted quality and theres no real difference, made up with it.
Turkey mince and muscle burger are ��

I'm unable to cook for myself due to my disabilities and my husband gets tired cooking two different meals all week after coming home from work (He's a fussy eater as well),... you have made it so much easier for us - thank you so much!
